Mochi luminaire recognized by Architectural Products magazine

Montreal, QC, December 12, 2024 - Cyclone Lighting (www.cyclonelighting.com), an established leader in the manufacture of outdoor luminaires, is pleased to announce its Mochi luminaire has been awarded a 2024 Product Innovation Award (PIA) from Architectural Products magazine.

The PIA program was created to celebrate the ground-breaking products, systems, and materials that help architects achieve new levels of creativity or performance in their design. Each entry is reviewed by an esteemed panel of practising architects; manufacturers of products and systems are awarded based on attributes, qualities, functionality, or performance beyond industry standards.

Mochi’s nature-inspired silhouette departs from traditional dome styling, bringing a softness to urban settings while delivering exceptional lighting performance. Its thoughtful design extends to its operating mechanism: a seamlessly integrated cast aluminum push-button latch provides one-handed access to the driver for easy replacement.

An advanced lighting system offers precise illumination well-suited for projects where safety is a priority, including city and residential streets, commercial buildings, transit, urban parks, waterfront pathways, or bike paths. Project designers can choose from more than 14 light distribution types, including backward optics. Additional versatility comes from the light engine's orientable optics, which can be oriented by increments of 90. Designers can combine two distribution types within a single light engine.

Winners of the 14th annual program will be profiled in the November/December issue of Architectural Products.
