Lupa and Valenza exterior luminaires win multiple awards in the 2025 competition
Montreal, QC, November 24, 2025 - Cyclone Lighting (www.cyclonelighting.com), an established leader in the manufacture of outdoor luminaires, is pleased to announce its Lupa and Valenza luminaires have received LIT Design Awards. Lupa was recognized in the Street Lighting category; Valenza was awarded in both the Street Lighting and Landscape Lights categories.
The LIT Design Awards were established to acknowledge the exceptional work of talented lighting product designers and implementers from around the world. It is the organization’s belief that lighting encompasses both artistic expression and scientific principles, making it a vital component of any design. The platform recognizes and celebrates achievements in lighting products, architectural lighting designs, and entertainment lighting.
Lupa features a disk shape, no visible hardware, and a seamlessly integrated arm to bring a contemporary feel and refined look to public spaces. Lupa was intentionally designed with lower pole heights to contribute to a feeling of security. Yet, its light engine produces a gentler, more comfortable gradient for a softer look and glare-free environment. Lupa’s light engine also features the latest ink technology in its diffuser to deliver broader, more even light distribution.
Valenza’s straight geometric lines are offset and softened by organically inspired rounded edges. Seen from the side, its slender, subtle silhouette virtually disappears, belying the quality and strength of its illumination. Viewed head-on, the assertive V shape makes a strong impression, with a look that modernizes urban settings. The luminaire’s light engine, known for its superior performance and durability, is equipped with fully sealed, optically engineered, injection-molded acrylic lenses with an IP66 rating for superior performance and durability.
